Babies are only babies for a short time, which makes capturing those precious moments with the next chapter in your life, a little bit more special. As babies grow so fast, capturing photos of his or her tiny feet or hands, so you never have to forget them again will bring those memories flooding back and a smile on your face.
Newborn photography is one of my main specialities and something I absolute love taking part in. I’m a proud member of the Guild of Photographers adhering to their strict code of conduct regarding their professionalism, care and diligence.
The session is dedicated to your new arrival although I also encourage parents and other siblings to take part in the sessions. Below I’ve set out the majority of information required for the newborn sessions although should you have any other queries, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Newborn Photoshoot Session Details
There are a few methods to book a session, these are as followed:
- Complete the booking form at the bottom of this page and fill in.
- Message me using the “contact me” page on this website.
- Message me through social media. All details can be found on the contact me page.
- Or, if you prefer to talk, feel free to pick up the phone and calling me using the contact number which again, can be found in the “contact me” page.
All that I require from you is two things, the first being your due date. You will then be dedicated a limited space for that month. If the baby is early or late, don’t worry, when the baby is born and it’s comfortable to do so, just make me aware via a quick message and we’ll select a convenient time and date.
I will also require a £50 non-refundable deposit to secure you a provisional place. This will be used to cover the newborn session fee. There will nothing else to pay then until I’ve taken the photos, edited them and uploaded them to a private online gallery for you to view, where you would then select the package you wish to purchase.
Once the booking has been made, the first thing that I’ll do is along with the confirmation that I’ll send you, you’ll receive a starter pack with a few key tips and tricks that I’ve picked up to ensure that your baby is settled and prepared so we can get the best possible memories for you to take with you.
My studio is based near Tonypandy and Porth in the Rhondda Cynon Taff and has everything that both I and we require. It’s designed to not only be comfortable for your baby, but for yourself also. I’m afraid I no longer do home visits due to being limited on the equipment I can bring. If you do have an exceptional case though, then please let me know and I’ll see if I can assist in anyway.
The newborn photoshoot sessions take 2-4 hours. Safety is paramount, so therefore it’s key we take our time to ensure not only that we get the best shots, but your baby is kept safe, warm and comfortable. We also need to allow enough time for feeding and comforting. Sessions are mostly mid-week starting early morning to ensure we have time, weekends are limited but please ask incase I’m able to accommodate during that time.
The photoshoot session itself will cost £50. This will be the amount required to secure you provisional booking. I’ve tried to make my pricing as clear as possible, so if you have any queries, then please just let me know. Details of what you’ll get from the session can be found below.

All photo’s are used for advertisement via our social media and website if you do not wish to be used please let me know at the photo session or when booking.
Do I need to bring anything with me for the newborn photoshoot?
Whilst there’s no need to bring anything along with you for the photos, please make sure you bring plenty of spare nappies, feeds (If bottle fed), soothers if required and all the other baby essentials that us parents carry around with us. I’ll have all the props, wraps and backgrounds for the photoshoot so no need to bring anything else along unless you wanted something specific or the session.
